<title>ASoC: meson: aiu: fifo-spdif: soft reset the S/PDIF datapath on start/stop</title>

The I2S FIFO soft-resets its fast domain on start (AIU_RST_SOFT bit 0 +
AIU_I2S_SYNC read in aiu_fifo_i2s_trigger), mirroring the downstream
vendor driver's audio_out_i2s_enable(). The S/PDIF FIFO has no equivalent:
it only toggles the IEC958 DCU, so a stale datapath FIFO can be replayed,
producing the "machine gun noise" buffer underrun - on start when switching
outputs, and on stop when playback ends. The latter is audible on devices
with an always-on S/PDIF-fed DAC (e.g. the ES7144 on the WeTek Play2).

The vendor driver resets the IEC958 fast domain (AIU_RST_SOFT bit 2) on
both enable and disable (audio_hw_958_enable), and when reconfiguring
(audio_hw_958_reset clears AIU_958_DCU_FF_CTRL then resets). Do the same:
reset before enabling the DCU on start, and before disabling on stop.

<title>ASoC: Validate written enum values in custom controls</title>

HyeongJun An &lt;sammiee5311@gmail.com&gt; says:

Some custom ASoC kcontrol put() handlers use the written enum value
(ucontrol-&gt;value.enumerated.item[0]) to index a table or compute a bit
shift before validating that the value is within the control's enum range.
An out-of-range value written from userspace is therefore consumed before
it is rejected.

This is the same class addressed for the Meson codecs in commit
1e001206804b ("ASoC: meson: g12a-tohdmitx: Validate written enum values")
and commit 3150b70e944e ("ASoC: meson: g12a-toacodec: Validate written
enum values").

Fix four more instances:
 - hdac_hdmi reads e-&gt;texts[item] before validation.
 - aiu converts the item before validating it.
 - fsl_audmix converts the item and uses the result before validation.
 - tegra210_ahub reads e-&gt;values[item] before validation.

The AIU HDMI and internal codec mux put callbacks use the written enum
value with snd_soc_enum_item_to_val() before checking whether the value is
valid for the enumeration.

Reject out-of-range values before converting the enum item, matching the
validation already done by the G12A HDMI and internal codec mux controls.

<title>Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument</title>

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\&lt;k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

<title>treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types</title>

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".
